Did this drawing after I got my macbook back from repairs (I think some heating issues lead to the logicboard frying, but all is well now). I'm happy with this piece because I finally drew someone in a pose other than "facing forward" in some form or another. Since Tacey Shahrazad is a thief, I thought her sneaking on the rooftops with a briquet (sabre) would be very thief-like.

New update!

Added a new piece to the site, a sort of self-portrait. I believe it's some rule as an artist to draw your persona/avatar but it took me forever because I was afraid to draw myself.

2009 & Beyond

I added a new piece of artwork of a character named Lanita, commissioned by her creator in DragonRealms. My first commission and first artwork of 2009 and I hope the first of many to come. Despite being unemployed (although this does free me up for more drawing), I remain hopeful of 2009.

My lack of activity on this site is partly due to my jobs and current lack thereof. When I've been working, I've been busy and now without a job, I find myself busy looking for a new one. I would dearly love to make a living out of drawing but the title of 'starving artist' usually has some reason behind it.

I decided to open my site to commissions. Information can be found at the appropriately named link on the top of the site. Likewise, email me at my new email of kmsierra@koneko-ealain.com to send a request. I work by project, not by hour. Thanks and enjoy the evolution of Koneko Ealain Studio.


I also added a new drawing. The first official one of 2008. I was compelled to draw Tacey, my character from DragonRealms, again after acquiring a new wardrobe for her.

Artwork?

I'm still working on my cousin's comic (See the link to GHE's Art Department). Once I actually get a couple issues done, I will start to juggle the comic and my own artwork. KES still lives!

Aja of True Magic has been doing sketches for the first 16 people to have posted on a thread in her forum. I was lucky #11 and got a sketch of a character I created though I do not have any official artwork (see: Worthy of displaying in my gallery).

Something Chaotic This Way Comes...

Coming in (Spring?) of 2008, Miscreants of the Ancient Kingdom. A collaboration between Gray Horizons Entertainment and Koneko-Ealain Studio, MotAK is a epic tale of a Dark Knight by the name of Darth Bear and his quest to spread evil and chaos to the world of Mith. However, hidden forces in the world have other plans...

This project will consume most of my time but I will squeeze in my own art when I can. Until then, Happy New Years!

The Gallery is Open

The gallery is up and running. I will try to get one new piece of art onto the site before the end of 2007. The reason for "Earlier Works" is I cannot recall when I did most of the art. I believe I did them within the range of 2000-2005. Once I have some new art, I will actually declare what year they were made in.

Hard Hats Not Needed

The site is going to be under construction as I work on my project for Gray Horizons Entertainment. I am working to make the site more navigable and reduce load-time for any viewers on dial up. Rest assured, the site will return to its full glory soon.
